Kent. 'Plan No 8' showing the location of towers 24 and 25 at Dymchurch. Boundary lines, sizes of properties, a road, marshland and the coastline are also shown. Scale: 1 inch to 80 feet. Compass indicator. Signed by Captain Alexander Gordon, Royal Engineers, Hythe 14 July 1848. Stamped 'Royal Engineers Office Hythe, July 14th 1848'. Originally accompanying a report dated 3 May 1849 by R Byham, 84 Pall Mall, London, to the Inspector General of Fortifications.
