Essex. 'Plan No 6' of Tilbury Fort showing land vested in the Board of Ordnance. The River Thames, streams and roads are also shown. Reference key. Scale: 1 inch to 400 feet. Compass indicator. Signed by Captain Arthur Henry Freeling, Royal Engineers, 20 July 1848 and by Lieutenant Col onel William Henry Slade, Royal Engineers, 27 July 1848. Originally accompanying a report dated 3 May 1849 by R Byham, 84 Pall Mall, London, to the Inspector General of Fortifications.
