Suffolk. Plan of 'L Tower land' at Shotley Point showing boundary walls, a roadway and the position of the tower. An inset shows that part of the foreshore claimed by the Marquis of Bristol, with fields and the low water mark. Reference notes. Scales: plan 1 inch to 1 chain; inset 1 inch to 825 feet. Compass indicator. Signed by Lieutenant Colonel John Twiss. Commanding Royal Engineer, Eastern District and originally accompanying his report dated 14 November 1854 to the Inspector General of Fortifications.
