Description

Essex. Map of Harwich showing part of Lawyer Common and the site of the boat house appropriated for the use of the Royal Artillery stationed at Landguard Fort. A plan, elevation and section of the boat house and high and low water marks are also included. Scale: map 1 inch to 500 feet; plan 1 inch to 10 feet; section and elevation 1 inch to 4 feet. Originally accompanying correspondence of September 1851 from Captain John Hope, Royal Engineers, to the Board of Ordnance.
