Trinidad (now part of Trinidad and Tobago). Plan showing the former and new sites for a proposed barrack for military labourers at St James. Scale: 1 inch to 400 feet. Compass indicator. Signed by Lieutenant W D Marsh, Royal Engineers, 15 June 1853. Originally accompanying a letter dated 13 June 1853 from Lieutenant Colonel Wright, Commanding Royal Engineer West Indies, to the Inspector General of Fortifications. A MS note reads 'To accompany C.R.E. W.I. letter of 13 June 1853 No 1454'.
