Scale: 1 inch to 396 yards. Compass indicator. Signed by Lieutenant E M Grain, Royal Engineers, 20 April 1849 and by Lieutenant Colonel A M Waters, Commanding Royal Engineer West Indies, 24 May 1849. Originally accompanying a letter dated 21 May 1849 from Lieutenant Colonel Waters.
