Jersey. Five sheets of plans and sections showing improvements for the approaches to the pier at St Helier: (23) the landing jetty, buttress and breakwater; (24) the outer, promenade and harbour walls; (25) a curved projection of the south pier head; (26) the proposed pier; (27) the harbour and roads with designs and improvements proposed by Mr Walker in his report dated March 1838. Scales: (23) 1 inch to 20 feet; (24)-(26) 1 inch to 13 feet; (27) 1 inch to 476 feet. Compass indicator on (27). Lithographed by St Le Capelain and Col Poignand. Coloured MS additions on (26) and (27). A MS note on (27) reads 'Breakwater referred to in Major Tones letter to the Inspector General of Fortifications dated Jersey 8 July 1839'. Sheet sizes between 23 cm x 33.5 cm and 29 cm x 23 cm.
