The Channel Islands and the coastline of France from Plougaznou [Plouguerneau] to St Aubin are also shown. An inset shows an enlarged map of Jersey. Scale: 1 inch to 17 miles. Surveyed by G E Haden and J O Browne. Zincographed by H Martin, London. Signed by Lieutenant Colonel M C Dixon, Commanding Royal Engineer, and originally accompanying his letter dated 25 October 1845 to the Inspector General of Fortifications.
