Description

Jersey. Plan of St Aubin's Fort showing encroachments that had been made on it. Reference table. Scale: 1 inch to 40 feet. Compass indicator. Signed by Lieutenant Colonel J Oldfield, Commanding Royal Engineer, 27 September 1836 and by J Nightingale 1 May 1837. Originally accompanying a letter dated 28 April 1837 from Oldfield to the Inspector General of Fortifications. An MS note reads 'Copy to accompany the Inspecting Genrl minute of the [?] of 19 April'.
