Description

Guernsey. Plan showing Ordnance ground in the vicinity of Fort George through which 'the Martin Road' from St Peter Port to St Martin's passes, the maintenance of which the Committee of the States of the Island proposed to undertake themselves. Scale: 1 inch to 300 feet. Signed by Lieutenant Colonel P D Calder, Commanding Royal Engineer, and originally accompanying his letter dated 2 March 1840.
