Jersey: St Helier. Plan and elevation of the entrance to Elizabeth Castle showing the site of the proposed belfry. Signed by Lieutenant Charles Oldershaw, Royal Engineers, and intended to accompany a letter dated 8 January 1836 from Lieutenant Colonel G G Lewis to E Fanshawe; this letter is not in WO 44/75. Originally accompanying a letter and estimate dated 24 December 1835 from Lewis. An MS note reads 'Plan does not agree with the elevation'.
