Ottoman Empire. Rough sketch map (covering approximately the area now comprising Lebanon), showing roads, railways, waterways, possible landing places, the terrain, heights, place names, defences etc. Reference table. Inset: a larger scale plan of Beirut. Originally accompanying a memorandum describing a stay in the area, which ended on 31 May 1917. An explanation of the lettered points marked on the map remains at the parent reference.
