Reference table; index to adjoining sheets. Produced by the War Office, July 1915; corrections to December 1916. Coloured overprinting shows preferable routes; overprinted reference note. Coloured MS additions show lines of communication and strategic advantages conferred by occupation of the Umm Qays plateau. Originally illustrating a memorandum on the military importance of the Umm Qays Plateau, by Lieutenant Colonel F A Maunsell, Royal Artillery, 14 December 1917.
