Ottoman Empire. 'Sketch map of route Akaba [i.e. Aqaba] to Maan [i.e. Ma'an] from Musils map'; (the area covered is now in southern Jordan). Reference table to routes, heights, and telegraph lines. Compass indicator. Signed: Lieutenant Colonel F R Maunsell, 2 May 1917. Printed scale bar affixed to the lower right-hand corner of the map. Originally illustrating notes on the military value of the Aqaba-to-Ma'an route.
