Ottoman Empire: Anatolia. Map, cut from a larger sheet, covering the area (now in Turkey) between Eregli, Nigde, Adana and Tarsus, showing the terrain, waterways, place names, roads, railways, and soundings. MS additions, coloured, showing military positions. Scale bar affixed to the face of the map. The map is affixed to a backing sheet bearing the MS title: 'Baghdad Railway & Cilician Gates [Gülek Bogazi] Pass', and a reference table to the additions. Backing sheet size: 32 cm x 40.5 cm. Originally illustrating a report by Lieutenant Colonel F R Maunsell on military positions in the Cilician Gates, 19 September 1917. Sketch plans of three of the military positions shown remain at the parent reference.
