Ionian Islands (now part of Greece): Cephalonia (Kefallonia). 2 copies of each of 3 sheets of sketches; items 30-33 on tracing paper. (28-29) 'Sketch of Ground at Argostoli... shewing... the Ionian Govt. property, &... the barracks. Proposed site for chapel-school tinted ...': plan. Scale: 1 inch to about 78 feet [1:136]. Compass indicator. Signed: (28) Captain Frederick E Chapman, Royal Engineers, 17 June 1851; (29) Lieutenant E C Gordon, Royal Engineers, 28 June 1851. (30-31) '... Plan, Section, and, Elevation of proposed chapel-school, and schoolmasters quarters, with a tank to contain 5037 gallons'. Scale: 1 inch to about 12 feet [1:144]. Both copies signed: Lieutenant J C De Butts, Royal Engineers: (30) 24 June 1851; (31) 26 June 1851. (32-33) 'Sketch of Argostoli shewing the position of the several buildings hired for Military purposes and other public buildings, with reference to the site of the Chapel School proposed to be erected': map. Reference table. Scale: 1 inch to 300 feet [1:3,600]. Compass indicator. Both copies signed: Lieutenant Gordon, 1 July 1851. All 6 sheets further signed: Colonel W B Tylden, Commanding Royal Engineers, 5 August 1851. Dimensions: (28-29) each 44.5 cm x 55 cm; (30) 45 cm x 55 cm; (31) 46 cm x 44.5 cm; (32-33) each 28 cm x 44 cm. Items 28, 30 and 33 originally illustrating a letter dated 6 August 1851.
