Eastern Europe. Map of an area now in Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine, showing the 'German concentration for the Lodz operation' 10 November 1914. Reference table to German, Austrian and Russian armies, German stations, a fortified line and an area laid waste by the Germans and Austrians during their retreat in October. Originally illustrating a lecture on air operations, given by Air Vice-Marshal Brooke-Popham at the Royal Air Force Staff College, Andover 10 July 1924.
