Description

Bute to Clavering: the landgrave of Hesse has sent a printed paper [SP 87/44/32] with his representations to the imperial diet for the recovery of the county of Hanau and requested the king's support for it. The king will support any negotiation but his guarantee to the landgravine will cause him to oppose this. Dated at St James's. ff. 98, 99
