Description

Forwards thirteen Acts passed during the last session of the Legislature [not included in volume], with the attorney general's report.

Included are:

  • No 1 An Act to Amend the Act entitled An Act to establish certain regulations for the performances of quarantine;
  • No 2 An Act for the Amendment of the law and better arrangement of justice;
  • No 3 An Act to regulate the pilotage of these islands and for giving an ease and convenience to certain commercial transactions;
  • No 4 An Act to continue and amend the act entitled an act to simplify and amend the mode of proceeding in the Court of General Assize and another act entitled An Act in addition to the act entitled An Act to simplify and amend the mode of proceeding in the Court of General Assize;
  • No 5 An Act to continue and amend the act entitled An Act to prevent the destruction of cedar trees;
  • No 6 An Act to renew the percent lease of the ferry and to continue certain clauses of the act entitled An Act for regulating the ferry between the western most part of the island of St. George and the island called Coney Island;
  • No 7 Revenue and Appropriation Act;
  • No 8 An Act to authorize the application of the money payable to the church wardens of the several parishes of these islands, under the act entitled An Act for regulating retail liquor shops, taverns and ordinaries;
  • No 9 An Act to amend an Act entitled An Act for regulating retail liquor shops, taverns and ordinaries;
  • No 10 An Act for the amendment of the law of inheritance;
  • No 11 An Act to renew the act entitled An Act for the encouragement of ship building;
  • No 12 An Act in addition to the act entitled An Act authorizing the purchase of a certain place or situation commonly called Saint John's Hill and also certain lands contiguous thereto, and for vesting the same in the Crown to and for the use of the Naval Commander in Chief for the time being upon this station;
  • No 13 An Act relating to post offices
