Description

The mayor and common council of Bordeaux to Henry III: Blaye, Bourg-sur-Mer, St Emilion, La Réole, St Macaire, Lingon and Bazas have surrendered to Louis VIII, king of France; certain castles, the demesne of the county of Béarn and the cities of Dax and Bayonne remain free; the refusal of Bordeaux to surrender, though besieged by the count of Périgueux; they ask for assistance.
