Description

Refers to disembarkation of liberated Africans from captured slave trading ship, and that since then two more slave trading ships have been captured by the same vessel HMS Vestal; Captain Jones; one ship, under Spanish colours, had 428 enslaved persons on board, and the other ship called the Phoenix, under a Portuguese flag, with 486 enslaved Africans; related enclosures including a list of the Africans from the Phoenix indentured with their 'employers' - 'English names' given in document; reports conditions on board ship and deaths that have occured.
