Nature of request
Arnold William de Marsan makes two requests:1) He states that his lands border the town of St-Sever and the bastide of Arulie, and the woods of St-Sever and the Bazadais, and asks the King to give orders to the Seneschal of Gascony or the Constable of Bordeaux, or one of them, so that he might exchange these lands so that he can hold them without any disagreement;2) He states that the King has granted him an annual rent for his sustenance, but that he understands that the ordainers have ordained that all the King's gifts are to be annulled. He asks that if the gift is still valid that the Constable of Bordeaux might be ordered to put him in possession of the lands of Gosse and 'Disiaus', and that the appeal of the King of France that Hugolin the King's Constable had had made might be annulled. And if the gift is not valid, he asks that he might not lose out in the aforesaid things.
