Nature of request
The people of the half-hundred of Lothingland state that Henry Tristrem of Rockland, bailiff of Lothingland half-hundred, and Reginald Reynald, Constable of Lowestoft, have allowed Scots and other aliens to send silver overseas, contrary to the King's orders forbidding any silver to be taken outside the realm without his permission, and that they have received money from these people to allow them to do this. They ask that a remedy and punishment might be provided for this.
