Nature of request
The community of the commote of Deuddwr states that Edward I recovered their lands against Edmund de Mortimer by means of an assize, and held them all his life. They request a writ to the Justice of South Wales to inquire into whether they are annexed to the crown or not, and if it is found that they are, they ask that the Justice might take them into the King's hand, and not deliver them to anyone without the King's special command.
