Nature of request
The Mayor and people of Berwick-upon-Tweed state that the wools from within the King's lordship in Scotland which used to be shipped from Berwick are now, because of the embargo, being handed over to the King's Scottish enemies. They request writs to the Chancellor, Chamberlain and Sheriff of Berwick to inquire into how much wool is produced by this lordship, and that this amount might be allowed to pass overseas.
