Nature of request
Robert de Talworth states that he was accused and felony before William de Shareshull and his companions, justices appointed to hear and determine felonies and trespasses in Suffolk, and that he was convicted as a clerk. But his enemies, not wishing him to make his purgation, had him falsely indicted of attempting to break prison and of other felonies, so that he has been returned to prison and, as a convicted clerk, cannot be put to answer for felony. He requests a charter of pardon, stating that he is prepared to go to war with the King.

To master John Dufford.It is attested by the Earl of Warwick that the King has granted his bill for all manner of felonies and trespasses.
