- William Fitz Garyn, keeper of the castle and lands of Montgomery, states that Chirbury hundred and its profits has always been attached to the wardship of this castle, and the Keepers of the castle have always held the grand tourns in the hundred, and the prisoners from these tourns have been brought to Montgomery castle to be arraigned at common law. William is now arraigned before the King's justices on this, and asks that this wardship might be confirmed, as it was in the time of the King's progenitors.
