Nature of request
Henry de Wenyngfeld and Helen his sister state that their brother, Robert de Wenyngfeld, died seised of certain tenements in Winkfield, near Windsor, leaving them as his next heirs, but that after his death one Robert de Wodemancote entered wrongly and occupied these tenements. Henry brought a writ against him, and the matter went as far as an inquisition, but Robert allied himself to Nicholas de Beche, then keeper of the Duke of Cornwall, who came with force and arms so that by his threats the inquisition went against Henry. He requests a remedy as he is ill and cannot sue, although his sister is prepared to sue for him.
