Nature of request
Peregrine Dorran states that he was robbed by the people of Spain and he has sued to the King to have grace and a remedy for fourteen years and more, with the result that the late King ordered an arrest on the goods of Spaniards, and put the money seized into the hands of William de Saut and of Rolandin de Pode. But Walter de Langeton, then Treasurer, took this money and used it for the King's benefit, so that he has had no compensation. He asks that he might be compensated for his stolen goods.
Nature of endorsement
This petition is to be sent to the Treasurer enclosed in the King's letters, and he is to be ordered that, when he has called the members of the King's council in London, he is to have this petition and its contents examined, and he is to have done to the complainant what is reasonable.
