Nature of request
The inhabitants of Labourd make four requests:1) They ask the King to ratify and confirm by his letters patent a grant made by the Bishop of Norwich and John de Bretagne, Earl of Richmond that they should be quit of service of lodging for a certain payment.2) They ask the King to ratify and confirm an agreement made by the Constable of Bordeaux with the inhabitants of the parish of St Leon and the Lord of the house of Rupe and all others of Labourd, that they should be quit of all moneys owed to the King for a certain sum.3) They ask the King to order the Seneschal of Gascony to remove fisheries in the River Demyne that are a danger to shipping.4) They ask the King to order the Seneschal of Gascony to order the nobles of the land to cease introducing foreign livestock into the pastures and herbages of the land, as this is ruinous for the common people.
