Nature of request
William de Bevercote asks that the victuals that he took from the King at Berwick for default of money, up to the sum of £10, might be charged to him at the King's price, or might be pardoned him in exchange for his expenses in going to Inverness and back in the company of the Keeper. For the bishop has told John de Sandale to pay him £20 over and above his fee.
Nature of endorsement
A writ of the privy seal is to be issued to the Chancellor of England to issue a writ of liberate to the Chamberlain of Scotland for £20 to be delivered to the Chancellor of Scotland, which [£20] the King has granted to the Chancellor over and above his fee, for his expenses in going in the company of Aymer, Keeper of Scotland, from Berwick to Inverness and back.
