Thomas Thurkild, burgess of Great Yarmouth, states that he complained to the King at Northbourne about certain trespasses committed against him by the community of Great Yarmouth, and the King gave him a commission to John de Lovetot and Ellis de Bekingham, to inquire into this matter and further to do what justice and the custom of the realm requires. The justices took the inquisition, but because of certain difficulties they deferred the judgment to Westminster at the feast of All Souls.
