Nature of request
Letter to Edward III from William, Archbishop of Canterbury, informing him that certain people of the diocese of Lichfield are using armed force to prevent Alan de Dytton, the canonically instituted rector of the church of Audley, from taking possession of his church, and are occupying the tithes, offerings, fruits, income and goods of the church. He asks the King to remove this lay force.
