Nature of request
Writ of Edward II to the Treasurer and Barons of the Exchequer, in response to a claim by the Abbot of Bury St Edmunds to have the chattels of felons and fugitives, the year, waste and all other forfeitures from all residents in Bury St Edmunds and all his men and tenants, asking them to examine the rolls and memoranda of the Exchequer for evidence as to whether these liberties were allowed to the Abbot there or not.

Enrolled in Easter term in the nineteenth year, in the first roll.The rolls have been searched concerning the contents of this writ, as can be seen from the schedule sewn to this writ.
