Nature of request
William la Zousche states that because he would not adhere to Roger de Mortimer of Chirk and the other rebels against the King, despite their threats, Roger de Mortimer took William's goods and chattels from the manor of Elmley Lovett, and disseised him of the manor, and held it until the King seized all Roger's lands and tenements into his hand because of his forfeiture. William asks the King and council for justice.
Nature of endorsement
The Escheator is to be ordered that, when he has called the keeper of the said manor, he is to institute a full inquiry into the things contained in this petition. And if his claim is found to be true, then the said manor is to be delivered to him, saving all rights.
