Nature of request
Writ of Edward II to John Walewayn, Escheator South of the Trent, asking him to inquire, together with the keeper of the manor of Elmley Lovett, into William la Zousche's complaint that Roger de Mortimer of Chirk, lately a rebel against the King, forcibly disseised him of this manor during the recent disturbances because of his loyalty to the King, and carried off his goods and chattels, and that the manor is now in the King's hand with the rest of Roger's lands and tenements.
