Nature of request
Letters patent of Edward II, stating that he had granted the Abbot and convent of Robertsbridge permission to acquire £100 of land and rent in compensation for their losses to the sea in the marshes of Winchelsea, Rye, and Broomhill, and granting permission to William de Echingham to give them the advowsons of the churches of Salehurst, Udimore, and Mountfield, in part satisfaction of this sum.
