Nature of request
Writ of Edward II to Sapy commanding him to deliver to Tromwyn and his wife all the dower lands in the land of Powys taken into his hand without delay and in accordance with the previous writ directed to Sapy, and deliver Joan from her abductors. If anyone should resist his delivery he is to attach them and keep them safely and inform the king without delay. Sapy had been ordered to make delivery, but had been resisted and Joan Tromwyn had been abducted.
Nature of endorsement
The response to this writ appears in the schedule sewn to this writ [SC 8/234/11654]. Concerning to the delivery of Joan Tromwyn she was delivered before the coming of the writ. Concerning the attachment of the malefactors, Sapy has been unable to do this without a great force because of their great number and malice.
