The abbot and convent of Wigmore request remedy as they have been amerced £24 in the court of Wigmore by malicious presenters of trespass made by hue and cry and forestalling against the liberties of their church.

The petition is dated to c. 1332 in accordance with the dating given by Rees (Petitions Relating to Wales, pp.386-7). Rees links the petition to disputes concerning the vacancy in the house in 1332, though it is not clear whether this is well founded.
