Note (Additional information about the record)
- The petition appears to date to 1308 when the petitioner ceased to be bailiff of the High Peak (CCR 1307-13::p.74). However, the petition clearly refers to the petitioner being commanded to send miners to Devon by the late king, and yet the order seems to have been made on 25 March 1308, though it is possible that Edward II ordered additional miners to Devon (CCR 1307-13::p.27).
