Nature of request
Burgh requests that a certification of the debts and damages relating to her and now returned by the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer be viewed and justice be done to her. Many debts of prests of the Wardrobe are now demanded from her both for her and her late husband jointly, and for her in right of her part of the Gloucester inheritance, but her and her husband's castles, lands and tenements with their goods and chattels, remembrances and evidences in the castle of Usk and elsewhere were seized by the late king and the remembrances by which she could have aid are lost and destroyed. She has requested pardon at the parliament of York but has awaited the certification.
