Nature of request
[Petition in 4 parts:]1) It is requested that power be given to Aston, Ireby and Scholle to enquire of people of the Church in the bishoprics of Hereford and Worcester who have been the king's enemies, and to attach them and assign a day by mainprise to be before the king.2) It is requested that a remedy is ordained for the forest of Dean which has come to nothing in vert or venison because of Nasse who is the king's principal enemy and counsellor of Dammory and Berkeley.3) It is requested that a remedy is ordained for Lyntone, Waleys and Tristram who are with the bishop of Hereford and escaped Boroughbridge and are now in the country pursuing the king's men.4) It is requested that a remedy is ordained for Revel, Cook and Wyget have always been against the king, and rob his manors and withdraw with their chattels, and now have returned under the maintenance of Kalberne.
