Nature of request
Lucas, Martyn and Gonsalvez request that letters are directed to the mayor and bailiffs of Southampton to arrest the barge called Trinite and its merchandises to the use of the petitioners, and grant further letters to the mayor, sheriff and bailiffs to deliver the barge and the goods to the petitioners. The barge was taken off the Isle of Wight by the French, and then recaptured by Spicer who still detains it and its goods.
