The mayor, sheriff and citizens request letters to the chancellor to command that notwithstanding an earlier writ on the matter that the mayor and sheriffs command that the commons represented by 6 persons of each mystery assemble on a certain day specified by the chancellor to elect their representatives to be part of a group of 12 people of the town to appear before the council at the quindene of Michaelmas to hear the decision of the council on the disputes that exist in the city. They further request that the meeting take place in the guildhall, and that the mayor and sheriffs can be close by to maintain order.
