Nature of request
The Tylmans request that the chancellor be commanded to make writs to the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer to discharge Bathe and his successors as escheators of Dorset of 7 marks annuity from mills and lands in Wimborne which it was alleged in an inquisition that Redecote had given to the dean of the free chapel of Wimborne Minster for a chaplain to sing there.
Nature of endorsement
[On face:]The king has granted this by the advice of his council.[On dorse:]23 June 4 [Henry IV] the council [named] agrees that a writ be made to the treasure and barons of the Exchequer that for certain causes moving the king and council that they put in respite until the quindene of Michaelmas next the demand made in the Exchequer on Bathe, late the escheator of Dorset and his successors of the 7 marks annually.
