Nature of request
The mayor and commonalty request that all manner of people of the city, except those excepted in the first pardon granted to the city, together with their lands, tenements, goods and chattels are able to pass under the fine paid by the city and the general pardon granted to the city without paying further fines or fees. Following their participation in the rebellion with Percy the king granted a commission to his son to receive those who wished to submit to his peace, and subsequently granted a general pardon to all except those specifically excepted. They have made a fine in 300 marks or are to provide victuals and shipping for the relief of Beaumaris Castle.

Note
The petition dates to 1403 as it is clearly in the aftermath of the Percy rebellion, and because the pardon was granted on 3 November 1403 (CPR 1401-5, p.330).
