[The petition is not entirely legible].Camoys requests a writ is granted directed to the mayor and escheator of Calais to enquire into all necessary points concerning his rights to a house in Calais and return it into Chancery, and if they find that he should have livery . . . The house was granted by Edward III to William . . . and came to the petitioner's father, and should have come to him by inheritance, but after his father's death . . .

Note
The petition can be closely dated to 1432-1435 on the basis of the signatures on the bottom of the petition. John Stafford was chancellor from 1432, and Bishop Morgan of Ely died in 1435. The dating is a little confused in the petition by the reference to Edw. III as the king's great-grandfather.
