Nature of request
[Petition in 3 parts:]1) Budos requests the grant of the office of provost of Barsac in recompense for his great losses and costs that he has incurred in the king's service and in the recovery of his lands that were seized by the French.2) He further requests that he be granted the land of Langon, Comptat and the office of provost of Bazas which are in the king's hand because of the war or for rebellion.3) He requests the king's letters to the pope to deliver the inheritance which should have come to him by the death of his kinsman in the power of the pope as neither he nor his proctor can go because the king of France will not grant him safe-conduct.He requests that the king will have regard towards him that he is able to experience and expound concerning the good service and reward so that the king's other subjects are able to take a good example from him.
