Nature of request
Writ of Edward III to the sheriff of Yorkshire to produce a jury of the good men of his bailiwick, both merchants and others at a day and place specified by Scarborough, Pole and Fitz Dieu who are to hold an inquisition into the complaint made to the king by the executors of Martin de Raceburgh concerning the seizure of a ship called the Molbery of Hull which was seized with Raceburgh's goods off of Brittany by malefactors of the power of the king of France, and which have been held to the use of the king, the mariners being imprisoned.
