Nature of request
[Petition in 2 parts].1) The mayor and burgesses request that Stonor and le Burser who the king has assigned justices of oyer and terminer for many trespasses committed in the town be ordered to come to the town quickly, or if they cannot come, new justices be assigned.2) A writ is requested to the mayor to enquire of those causing dissent in the town, and will ordain what is to be done with those so found.
